"Internet Marketing and SEO"
There's promising content here: "BlogCatalog Marketing" (May 11, 2008), for example, and "How to choose the best hosting?" (the latter doesn't mention my host-of-choice, GoDaddy.com, but does identify points to ponder while doing due diligence).
There's nothing radically new here, but FreoReviews does bring together quite a bit of ideas for making blogs and websites visible.
Just as important, for me, I didn't find any of the self-defeating "SEO" advice from years ago that's still clogging some sites: putting lots of dirty words in your keywords tag (that trick made the keyword tag much less useful for serious webmasters); making text the same color as the background, and adding 'valuable keywords' that human visitors can't read, but robots can; and a bagful of techie tricks like redirecting.
Although FreoReviews looks like a pretty good resource, it has some technical issues:
- "About" tab, at the top of the page, is dated December 31, 1969, and starts with "This is an example of a WordPress page, you could edit this to put information about yourself or your site so readers know where you are coming from. ..."
- "archives page" tab is better: it's dated March 22, 2006, but doesn't have any content yet
- "Contact Me" is better still: there's a response form there
