The Lemming enjoyed this video: in large part for the memories of watching other cats find ways to relax. It's a bit long for this sort of slice-of-life vignette. On the other hand, it's good to see that Maru finally found a - somewhat - comfortable position.

I enjoyed watching Maru - at a speed where the cat's balance and grace - or lack thereof - could be savored. The video has no sound.

Maru the Cat: On a Hot Day

I remember long-hair cats resting like that on hot days. I suspect they may lose heat faster, if their belly fur is spread out like that.

Speculations aside - that's a charming cat. And, for me, a pleasant trip down memory lane.

Watching a cat and a box for three and a half minutes isn't everybody's cup of tea: But I enjoyed watching this video.

Don't worry, by the way: Maru does eventually get inside the box, so the video has a happy ending.
