Lemming Tracks: What's With All the Cute Animal Videos?

The Lemming doesn't, as a rule, go overboard on the subject of cute animals. Well, I try not to. Then, there were the cute critters in today's three posts.

My excuse is that it's Easter Sunday, and I decided to give myself a break with some quick-and-easy micro-reviews. Besides, many people associate Easter with cute bunny rabbits and colored eggs.

There's more to it than that, but I've discussed that in another blog. ("He's Alive!" (April 3, 2010), for starters)

So: Enjoy the cute bunnies! Also the baby otter and kitten.

Fluffy the Jumping rabbit is between Flossy the Fluffy Sheep and Speedy The Snail. There's a link on Home Life Weekly's page to a higher-resolution picture of Fluffy: The things are designed as coloring sheets for kids, but I think they're presentable cartoon art as-is.

Okay: so they're not Rembrandts. They're still appealing.

There's more to Easter than fluffy rabbits, of course: but I'll be getting into that later, in another blog.

The St. Patrick's Day Surprise

St. Patrick's Day, as a rule, falls on March 17. This year, it happened yesterday, on the 15th of March. The change is quite reasonable: Holy Monday is on the 17th this year, as well. And there would have been no end of confusion if St. Patrick's Day were to fall on the same day, during Holy Week.

As it is, the confusion is quite over for the year, and the next St. Patrick's Day will be on the 17th, as it nearly always is.

About Norbert, up there. It seems that young Mr. Nerdly was no more aware of the date this year, though the both of us should have been, on which St. Patrick's Day falls. As a regrettable result, he was not prepared, as he should have been, for this year's picture.

And so it was that, late and unready as the two of us were, we quick snapped a picture, and display it here: along with the wish that you had a fine St. Patrick's Day!
