"Somewhere Over the Rainbow ballad - Jazz Flugelhorn Ed Trujillo"
edcontact, YouTube (July 07, 2008)

"If you play trumpet check out http://www.contactplus.com/... Background tracks and music at: http://www.sheetmusicplus.c... I play Over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen, Words by E.Y. Harburg on...."
Don't let the "jazz" thing scare you: this guy's good.
If you do know a little about jazz: sorry about that, but once in a while you could run into someone who thinks "jazz" and "noisy" mean the same thing.
That quote from the "info" section tells you that this is a commercial post.
Again, don't let that scare you.
The audio quality is pretty good - although I'd have preferred to hear the beginning and end of what the musician played.
Oh, well: can't have everything.
"Flugelhorn?" It's "a brass instrument resembling a cornet but with a wider bore". (Princeton's WordNet)
There's a redolent play on words lurking there, but the Lemming has already committed one today.

Today's News! Some of it, anyway
Actually, some of yesterday's news may be here. Or maybe last week's.
The software and science stuff might still be interesting, though. Or not.

Hi Brian,
That's me playing. Thanks for posting on your blog. I'm an amateur trumpet/flugelhorn player and do iphone software for my day job.
Before the solo is a count-in and after doesn't appear on the video as I stopped playing and thought it would be boring to watch me put the horn down.
Ed
Ed,
Thanks for your comment(s). It's good to hear from you.
Pacing is important in videos - I'd say that you made a good choice for where to end this one.
For some reason, three comments from you appeared: two at 2:30 local time, the third two minutes later. The first two were identical - and the third repeated the first one's text, with another paragraph. Just explaining why you started with three, and now have just one here.)
Best wishes on your music: Nice to have a day job, isn't it?
