I don't know rabbits all that well: but my oldest daughter's pet does give the impression of being rather self-centered. Or, more accurately, food-centered. Not at all like most dogs.

Yeah, rabbits are much more like cats in that regard. Roughly the same size, too.
And rather similar in genetic make up. Theoretically, it should be possible to make a cat/rabbit hybrid. (The one obstacle is a rather significant difference in reproductive hardware. Details, details.)

Even grooming habits. Watching your Giol groom is like watching a cat. A caffeinated cat. That rabbit, when he moves, often seems frantic.
