Earthquake Swarm off Los Angeles Shore

"California-Nevada Fault Map centered at 34°N,118°W"
Earthquake Hazards Program, United States Geological Survey (USGS) (June 7, 2010)

(from Earthquake Hazards Program, United States Geological Survey (USGS), used w/o permission)

The earthquake swarm - some of it - happened around 17:00 PDT - about three hours ago, if I'm reading that right.

There's more information available at the USGS page: the map there is interactive, for starters. It gets updated, so what you see won't be the 'snapshot' I took.

There seems to be an option for reporting tremors.

Interesting: and I'm glad to be living 2,000 miles-plus away from there.
