Jabberwocks: A Guest Post by Narcissus-X

The Lemming wishes to thank Narcissus-X for allowing the following post to appear in Apathetic Lemming of the North
Narcissus-X Ponders - What is this waste? How can such loss happen?

Narcissus-X descends to the plebeian conventions of commonality:

"Jabberwocky"
Lewis Carroll, via Poets.org

" 'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
"Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
"All mimsy were the borogoves,
"And the mome raths outgrabe.

" 'Beware the Jabberwock, my son
"The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
"Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
"The frumious Bandersnatch!'..."

"He took his vorpal sword in hand;...."

Beware? Beware! Beware! His floating hair! Narcissus-X recoils in revulsion at raging, ruinous, reckless destruction!

For who has seen the Jabberwock? Who has seen any jabberwock? Where did all the jabberwocks go? Long time passing! Where did all the jabberwocks go?! Long time ago!

Gone to foolish youth with vorpal blades!

Narcussus-X rails against the night! How long must foolish words of hateful elders expunge from existence the delicate, frail, jabberwocks? Whither the passenger pigeons? Where can Narcissus-X find a dodo!

But the jabberwock?

Narcussus-X grieves! This trite tale of destruction, in mere verse, boasting - BOASTING! - of the destruction of this, the last jabberwock!

Narcissus-X receives a note.

Narcissus-X reads.

Never mind.

Today's News! Some of it, anyway

Actually, some of yesterday's news may be here. Or maybe last week's.
The software and science stuff might still be interesting, though. Or not.
The Lemming thinks it's interesting: Your experience may vary.
