Somewhat over 17 hours ago - last night, local time - updating and editing functions for Blogger, the service I use, went offline. And stayed that way.
I've been monitoring conversation threads on the Blogger site - and discovered that "isolated" areas are affected by this problem.
Okay, I'll buy that. But I checked one thread, and discovered that the isolated areas included:
- Japan
- Illinois (3 responses) Plus -
- Central Illinois
- east-central Illinois
- Southern Illinois (3 responses)
- Toronto, Canada
- Dallas, Texas
- Missouri
- Michigan
- Metro Detroit, Michigan
- Northern Arkansas
- Kansas
- Tennessee
- Wisconsin
- Malaysia
- Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- BC, Canada
I'm a little sympathetic with the tech folks at Blogger. The problem, whatever it was, happened late Sunday: and apparently didn't affect important areas like New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Under those circumstances, it could take a long time just to notice that something was amiss.
Now, the Lemming hopes to start catching up.
Right after some 'real world' tasks are completed.
Thanks for your patience! The Lemming will (God willing) return.
