Yosemite Firefall

"Natural Firefall (31,000+ hits today!)"
Jeff Sullivan, flickr (June 28, 2009)

"This photo has received about 3000 hits from StumbleUpon over the past few days. Thanks folks for rating it so high!

"Horsetail Falls in Yosemite Valley is selectively backlit by the setting sun.

"This was an amazing spectacle to witness. Happening only two weeks out of the year, the setting sun falls behind the vertical face of El Capitan, selectively lighting this waterfall with its orange sunset light...."

In the photo, Horseshoe Falls looks like it's made of fire - or very hot lava.

A remarkable sight.
