There's a subscription fee, but once you've paid that you can use as many of the online training resources you want - or need - or have time - to use.
Lynda.com is, I think, more for the professional or very serious hobbyist, than for general use. But for people with specific training needs, this looks like a good resource. I'll admit that I'm biased. I'm logging on after this post, to learn more about using Hexagon, a 3D modeling tool.
