"Wikipedia:1000 things not to write your article about"
Wikipedia
"This page is intended as humor. If you have been sent here by another user after creating an article that might qualify on the following list, you may safely tell them that they sent you to the wrong place. The place she/he/it probably wanted to send you was to Wikipedia:List of bad article ideas.
"1000+ things not to write your article about
"Many vandals and trolls roam Wikipedia. But even more create accounts and create pages about whatever they feel like, without even looking at any of the Wikipedia policies and guidelines. This list is for new users and (hopefully) people looking to create a page about any of these things. Anyone can add to this list, as long it is a reasonable item. Remember to sign your name if you add an item...."
The list is long, and getting longer. Examples, of what not to write a Wikipedia article about:
307. What color mirrors are
412. How bored you must have been to read all this way down the list.
801. Your new vacuum cleaner.
(You mean - the world isn't waiting to learn about my new vacuum cleaner?!)
Actually, there aren't a thousand reasons yet, but it's getting close. The count, today, is 886.
Update (July 15, 2008)
This has not been a good month for me. Thanks, Brigid for coming back with your second correction to this one post (!). You're right. The link I had, the second time around, was to "Wikipedia:List of really, really, really stupid article ideas that you really, really, really should not create" (Wikipedia) - also funny, but with only 36 entries to date.
The list I intended to cover, BTW, now has 974 entries - they're close to the target 1,000.
Enjoy.

Today's News! Some of it, anyway
Actually, some of yesterday's news may be here. Or maybe last week's.
The software and science stuff might still be interesting, though. Or not.

The link takes me back to Apathetic Lemming.
What time was it when you did this?
Brigid,
Thanks! It's fixed now.
What time? I don't remember. I can't remember. I can't remember?! It must have been late!
That's a fabulous list! (I'm easily amused) I had no idea it was on wiki. Thanks!
Chat Blanc,
My pleasure!
Very funny, though I think the actual list you intended to link to, given the title, is:
