"How Many Students Does It Take To Change A Lightbulb At..."
comedycorner.org
This list starts with
"Vanderbilt: Two--one to call the electrician and one to call daddy to pay the bill"
- and goes on until it hits
"Santa Clara University: One--but you would never know about it because only Cal and Stanford gets press for changing their lightbulbs"
One of my favorites is the shortest of the lot -
"Stanford: One, dude"
Cool!
(For all the tightly-wound people with a Cause who may have read this: please take a deep breath and relax. These are all jokes: quite possibly the most painless way available to take a fresh look at the world.)

Today's News! Some of it, anyway
Actually, some of yesterday's news may be here. Or maybe last week's.
The software and science stuff might still be interesting, though. Or not.
The Lemming thinks it's interesting: Your experience may vary.

I think these would be funnier if I had any idea what any of these colleges are.
From the same site, I found The Tale of Eric and the Dread Gazebo.

Good grief.
Brigid,
For those who are to follow, here' a link: http://www.comedycorner.org/90.html. Good grief, indeed. I've known people like that.
Actually, one of the more amusing things in role playing games (those run by a witty game master) are those rare moments when the adventuring characters come across something utterly beyond their experience.
After the game master has described the object in great detail, the players realize that their characters are minutely examining something that's utterly everyday - in the real world.
Something like, say, a roller skate, or a vehicular license plate.
The adventure, of course, is to figure out how it got there.
Back to the colleges: I realize (now) that this is a bit of an 'in' joke. Some of these places are unfamiliar to me - but my hope is that enough of them are familiar to enough visitors to make this post worthwhile.
