"Some Bank of America customers trying to access their online and mobile accounts were unable to get through on Friday -- an issue the bank says it is aware of and working to resolve.
" 'We are experiencing some sporadic issues for a small population of customers,' spokeswoman Tara Burke said Friday afternoon. 'The majority of our customers can bank online.'..."
"...An IT glitch triggered the problem.
" 'This was the result of a routine system change made last night,' Burke said. 'This is not a form of malware, or any attack or anything related to WikiLeaks.'..."
Good for Bank of America: acknowledging that there's an issue.
That's a whole lot smarter that Qantas' insisting that 'there was no explosion' when international news was running photos of the parts that blew off the non-exploding engine of one of their airliners. In the Lemming's opinion.
Then there was the time the Lemming couldn't make new posts, or edit ones already online. That "isolated" problem affected folks working in places including Japan, Malaysia, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Back to B. of A. - the Lemming isn't sure what to make of "This is not a form of malware, or any attack or anything related to WikiLeaks." If there were rumors going around that had to be addressed, that makes sense. If there weren't rumors before - it reminded the Lemming of those gags where an ashen-faced theater manager stumbles onto the stage and proclaims 'there is no fire!'
Seriously, though? What Bank of American and some of its customers are going through now is one of the reasons the Lemming is glad to be occasionally calling tech support these days: instead of handling the calls.
And that's another subject.

There's a formatting issue around the picture.
Also this example of tense agreement: "photos of the parts that blown off the non-exploding engine"
And a I didn't know you were talking about music: "What Band of American and some of its customers"

Brigid,
I rather like "Band of America," but you're right - that's a typo. And, fixed.
Tense? Relax! (Seriously? Thanks!)
That formatting issue? I couldn't see a problem - but resized the graphic. Maybe that'll address the issue.
Thanks all around.
