Disapproving Rabbits (May 2, 2010)
"Hello all, we're going to interrupt your Sunday Cinnamon with a report of a small but serious outbreak of a rabbit disease (Rabbit Viral Hemorrhagic Disease (RVHD)) in our home state of Minnesota, specifically Pine County.
"You can find out more information on the outbreak here. Again, this is a small outbreak, but given its contagious nature, we thought it best to get the word out.
"Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. DR will return tomorrow.

The Lemming seldom does two posts from the same source in one day. Folks who deal with rabbits might want to check out Disapproving Rabbits' link to a Yahoo! Pets group. I found another, somewhat more technical, discussion of the Pine County outbreak:
- "Rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus - USA: (MN), OIE"
ProMED-mail, International Society for Infectious Diseases (May 1, 2010)
A tip of the hat to irish_brigid, on Twitter, for the heads-up on this post.
