Goats Grazing: Where?!

Those dark flecks on the side of the dam? They're goats.

As Daily Squee put it: "...There is plenty of perfectly horizontal ground all around you, but you have to go and find the most vertical surfaces possible to stand on...."

The Lemming doesn't know about "perfectly" horizontal: but the less-nearly-vertical surfaces seem to have a lot more greenery than where the goats went to graze.

On the other hand: maybe they feel safer, being out where nothing is likely to sneak up on them. Which gets into the psychology of the goat - and that's another topic.
