Why Blogs Will Thrive

Here's a prime example of why I think that blogs, the good ones, will thrive. Look especially for what Penguin Books said about the bogus submission.

Publishers reject Austen's work in writer's prank

Back to blogs, if you're still here.

I think that blogs authored by people who know how to write, and with something to say, will thrive: if for no other reason than that these people are not likely to get past the editorial selection process of traditional publishers.

Sometimes publishers remind me of a quip about the British education system, which seemed 'dedicated to the premise that Tennyson would never happen again.' (If I find the source of that, I'll most likely post it. Don't hold your breath.)
