A Beauty is in the Eye of the - Computer?!

"Computer recognizes attractiveness in women"
ZME Science (April 7, 2008)

I've said that we're a long way from AI along the lines of Star Wars' C3PO. After reading this article, I think I might be wrong.

"It's said that a computer can never even get close to processing data in the way a man does, but this can easily freak you out. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, right? Right ?! The thing is that according to scientists at Tel Aviv University, the beholder doesn’t have to be human."

Actually, it looks like the Tel Aviv University scientists are picking up on research into why we find some people more attractive than others. I still think C3PO is rather far off.
