"Japan Nuclear Plant Owner Confirms First Deaths as Workers Fail to Contain Leak"
FoxNews.com (April 3, 2011)
"The owner of Japan's crippled Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant confirmed the first deaths at the facility Sunday -- two workers who went missing after the March 11 tsunami, whose bodies were found earlier this week.
"A Tokyo Electric Power Co. spokesman said the bodies were found Wednesday. The announcement was delayed out of consideration for the families, he said.
" 'It pains me that these two young workers were trying to protect the power plant while being hit by the earthquake and tsunami,' Tokyo Electric Power Co. Chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata said in a statement.
"The two workers, aged 21 and 24, sustained multiple external injuries and were believed to have died from blood loss, TEPCO said. Their bodies were decontaminated as radiation has been spewing from the plant for three weeks...."
The Lemming may be 'apathetic,' particularly when it comes to a 1.15-parts-per-64,500,000,000,000 contamination of the Pacific Ocean. (April 4, 2011)
What's happening in northeastern Japan? The Lemming takes that very seriously.

Today's News! Some of it, anyway
Actually, some of yesterday's news may be here. Or maybe last week's.
The software and science stuff might still be interesting, though. Or not.
The Lemming thinks it's interesting: Your experience may vary.
