High Line 23: Strange Building for the Chelsea Art Gallery District

"Green Building Coming In New York As Of 2009"
Mad Architect (April 5, 2008)

"Green Building" is about High Line 23, an odd-looking structure: coming soon to New York City.

The first sentence, verbatim, copied and not re-keyed:

"New York is one of the world’s city with the most impressive architectural designs and also their latest design is environmental friendly."

In a similar vein, this building is one of contemporary architecture's building with the most remarkable design and also looks funny.

The renderings may not do it justice. And, since "it's located in West side Manhattan in the Chelsea art gallery district", perhaps those bent upper stories are intended to help the structure harmonize with the essence of its gestalt.

About the structure's odd appearance, the post says: "The uncanny design of the building has made its architects to "chase" the LEED Gold certification for HL23."

I'd appreciate a translation of that sentence, into ordinary, non-artistic, American English.

"The green part" of the building includes "water preserved fixtures" - an obscure, yet intriguing, phrase.

Despite the occasionally incoherent description, what emerges is an image of a memorable building, and one whose designers intend to have efficiency designed in from the start.
