A Filbert: by Any Other Name - - -

Filbert.

That could be a hazelnut, sort of; or a Corylus maxima - which is a filbert, but not, apparently, a hazelnut; or a town in South Carolina or West Virginia.

Filbert could be a boy who's nuts about someone named Hazel, too. The name means "brilliant," more or less - although I don't think Filbert's classmates would have given him that impression.
