Liechtenstein: Sounds Like a Really Nice Place

"Welcome to digital Liechtenstein"

"Liechtenstein in brief

"Area: 160 km² • Capital: Vaduz • approx. 35,000 inhabitants • Currency: Swiss franc • Neighboring countries: Switzerland, Austria • Official language: German • National Day: 15 August • System of State: constitutional hereditary monarchy on a democratic and parliamentary basis • Head of State: Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein • Head of Government: Prime Minister Klaus Tschütscher"

The website includes "The Principality of Liechtenstein" - a sort of printable 'Liechtenstein in a nutshell' in pdf format. It's not particularly heavy reading - each page has a short, well-organized bit of information about the country. What impressed me was that the focus wasn't strictly on tourism: "The Principality of Liechtenstein" gives a pretty good overview of what the country is like today, and how it got there. One interesting detail is that the Liechtenstein has 3,500 businesses: one for every 10 citizens.

Well, interesting to me, anyway. Your experience may vary.
