One Seriously Classy Rooftop Apartment

"Rooftop Apartment in Berlin"
CoolBloom (April 8, 2010)

"In Berlin-Charlottenburg, situated near the river Spree, Iris Steinbeck Architekten realized a new interior for the rooftop apartment as private residence, for a businesswoman internationally active in the field of lifestyle and sustainable development...."

There's that word, "sustainable" again. And not one mention about that ultimate sustainable resource, lint!

But, hey, if saying "sustainable" helps somebody feel good about their pad: that's fine by me. And this is a really nice-looking place. The CoolBloom post has seven photos and a floor plan to help readers get an idea of what the Berlin-Charlottenburg apartment is like.

There are some high-end residences where I wonder if whoever commissioned the things told the architect something like, "I don't care what it looks like, as long as it looks expensive." This isn't one of those residences. In my opinion, anyway.

It helps that I like the colors and (very) clean lines. I'd probably give a place like that a distinctly lived-in look in under 24 hours: but that's another topic.

Like I said, there are more photos in the CoolBloom post, and a little more text.

Enjoy.
