The tutorials start out with cross processing and lomo photography (digitally recreating the effects you'd get with a Russian-made camera that's notorious for producing low-quality photos - very artistic, I gather).

You'll have to put up with annoying, intrusive popover advertisements that make the text and graphics impossible to read - but aside from that, this seems to be an adequate set of Photoshop tutorials.
