World Trade Center, New York City, After the Attack

I try to keep things light on Apathetic Lemming of the North: but sometimes it's a good idea to remember less-than-pleasant events. I ran into a relatively popular page of photos of the New York World Trade Center, whose compiler had done a pretty good job of trying to figure out when "Ed" actually took the photos.

While I was at it, I looked up a few other 9/11 retrospective pieces.

"World Trade Center, around September 21, 2001"
Zombietime (possibly around late September, 2001)

"These photos were taken at Ground Zero, the World Trade Center site in New York, in September of 2001.

"They were taken by someone named 'Ed' who was allowed into the area by a member of the emergency response crew, at a time when all civilians -- including most journalists -- were forbidden to enter the area. As a result, these photos are among the few close-ups ever taken of the World Trade Center site so soon after the 9/11 attacks...."

Zombietime seems to have tried to determine the actual date these photos were taken.

There are other photos available online: If you've read my Another War-on-Terror Blog, you know that I'm nowhere near being on the same page as Professor Churchill on the matter of the "Little Eichmanns" who, according to the professor, deserved to die in the 9/11 attack. As I explained in 2007, I'm "apathetic" by some standards.

That, I can live with.
