"Colorful Words"
Teacher's Desk
"The following table contains a list of various color words. Below the table you will find a series of activities designed to acquaint students with color words as well as to practice language skills. I originally developed this lesson plan...."
Very interesting, but I'd do a little research before using the list. "Damask," for example, is listed as a word for "red." In fact, damask refers to a type of patterned fabric, or a sort of steel. (More, at Bartleby's (damask and "The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language:" Fourth Edition), and Princeton's WordNet (damask).)
The damask rose does have a red or pink flower, however.
