You've probably heard about this by now: Mozilla's Firefox3 browser's release date is tomorrow.

My browser of choice is Firefox, and I'm looking forward to the new version. Not that there's anything wrong with 2.0.0.14, the one I'm using now.

"Mozilla Firefox 3 Release Date Announced for Tuesday 17th June" (mozillaZine (June 11, 2008)) says that "millions of users will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the most software downloads in 24 hours." I'll be doing something else with my time, but I wish them luck.

"Firefox to release new browser" (CNN (June 12, 2008)) describes the new version of Firefox's features, including more flexible downloading and better security.

Mozilla also seems to have paid attention to what was called "human engineering" in my day: "...Firefox 3 also offers speed and design improvements -- the back button is now larger than the forward button, for instance, because people tend to return to a previous page more often, said Mike Schroepfer, the project's vice president of engineering....."
