An interesting collection of photos and text about abandoned huts in Antarctica.

One of the photos, presumably an interior of a Shackleton expedition hut, shows quite anachronistic - and unexplained - technology.

There's also a discussion in the comments of an 'is to - is not' sort.

However, this post is a good reminder of "the heroic age of Antarctic exploration."
