It's the Christmas season. Time for that annual ritual of endurance, the Christmas Letter.
First, two non-serious looks at The Letter:

"Mom's Christmas Letter" This one is popular. It's shown up in quite a few places, from "Basic Jokes" ("Dear Darling Son (and That Person You Married)") to an old H u m o u r N e t post ("Dear Darling Son (and That Person You Married)" from Collage 322, H u m o u r N e t, 25 Dec 1996).
